Residents of PPR Batu Muda came together on Friday morning for an exciting milestone: the launch of their Community Kitchen Garden program.
Facilitated by our partner, Mr. Iman from Pop Ark, the event kicked off with informative sessions on sustainable planting methods, setting the stage for a day of communal action.
Among the attendees, The program saw the participation of 20 residents, comprising 5 men and 15 women, with an average age ranging from 45 to 65 years.
Despite time constraints, the residents wasted no time in getting their hands dirty, clearing and preparing the ground for what promises to be a thriving garden. With plans in place for resident champion Mr. Jep to complete additional plots over the weekend, anticipation for the garden's future was palpable among the participants.
The program not only marked the beginning of a new gardening initiative but also symbolized the unity and resilience of the community.
Looking ahead, residents eagerly await the implementation of the BSF process and the prospect of future harvests, recognizing the Community Kitchen Garden as a testament to the power of collective action and grassroots initiatives.
