#MUF2023 is set to be a groundbreaking event that will shape the future of urban development in Malaysia. Hosted and expertly facilitated by Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU) and various strategic partners, this year's Malaysia Urban Forum will convene in the vibrant city of Kuching, Sarawak.

Anchored by engaging sessions including an impactful opening and closing session, thought-provoking dialogues, dynamic assemblies, focused special sessions, and insightful roundtables, #MUF2023 will provide an invaluable platform to deliberate on the most pressing urban challenges and opportunities of our time. These collaborative efforts are geared towards formulating actionable pathways to ensure resilient cities and thriving communities, ultimately steering towards a brighter urban future.

The comprehensive #MUF2023 program encompasses five distinct categories of events driven by our esteemed partners:

  5. Special Sessions

The seamless online application process for hosting events and reserving exhibition spaces at the 4th Session of the Malaysia Urban Forum, #MUF2023, is now officially open! Join us in Kuching, Sarawak, as we collectively chart a course towards urban excellence, leveraging the collaborative spirit of DBKU, our partners, and participants from around the nation and beyond. Together, we are molding the future of Malaysia's urban landscapes.

The Malaysia Urban Forum (MUF) Side Events are a one-hour intensive session that set to focus on LOCAL ACTIONS TO FUTURE-PROOF CITIES AND COMMUNITIES.

Open to all of our partners and advocates of the sustainable agenda, we offer you the platform to host your own sessions where you can share, discuss and contribute towards the achievements of the sustainable development goals. We welcome all partners within Shah Alam and/or other Malaysian cities.

We look forward to hear about your projects, programmes, research and/or new data findings that tackle current urban challenges and that better manage urbanisation benefitting communities. Topics of the Side Events should relate to the progress and efforts toward the achievement of the SDGs, and structurally must be outcome-driven and focus on local actions and solutions that are in progress and that have been successful.

Applications closes on 6th October 2022; and

Evaluation of the received application will be based on the set of criteria for the side event.
